Glass, specified
The right glass for the job — and why.
A kitchen asks a lot of glass: heat behind the hob, water at the sink, knocks along a worktop. We specify the type to the task, and explain the choice rather than hide it.
Toughened safety glass
Heat-treated to IS 2553 / EN 12150 — roughly five times the strength of ordinary glass, and it dices into small blunt granules instead of shards if it ever fails. The default for anything near heat, water or hands.
Low-iron (extra-clear) glass
Standard glass carries a faint green tint. Low-iron glass removes it, so a back-painted white reads as true white and pale colours stay honest — essential for light splashbacks and bright fronts.
Back-painted / lacquered glass
Colour sprayed and cured onto the reverse face, then sealed. A deep, even, wipe-clean field of colour in any RAL shade — the workhorse for splashbacks and cabinet fronts, in high-gloss or matte.
Laminated glass
Two panes bonded by a tough interlayer, so the sheet holds together even if broken. Used where overhead or full-height safety matters, and to add acoustic calm to partitions.
Silvered mirror
Clear, grey or bronze mirror, toughened and edge-worked to match. Opens up compact galley kitchens and bounces daylight deeper into the room.
Printed & textured glass
Ceramic and digital printing, frosting and rolled textures — pattern and privacy fired into the surface so they never fade, peel or scratch away.

A kitchen splashback is only as good as the toughening furnace, the back-painting line and the CNC bed behind it. We keep all of it under one roof, so a panel is cut, finished, tempered and inspected by one team before it ever reaches your wall.
